For the first time since the launch of the NGOs Award of Excellence for the Civil Society Organizations in 2016, the Professional Development Foundation (PDF) has attracted more than 300 different NGOs to participate and apply for the award this year.
PDF announced the launch of the fourth edition of the "NGOs Award of Excellence for The Civil Society Organizations 2019" last April under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, which aims to support the innovative and serious development projects of NGOs in Egypt.
The award committee focuses on the efforts of NGOs in Egypt to create development in society and solve its problems, as well as contribute to support the efforts of the state to meet the humanitarian, social and economic needs of society.
PDF has set the criteria for choosing the winning NGO, these include: innovation, the impact on the community, the planning and the implementation phase, the documentation of projects or programs, as well as sustainability and continuity.
The award consists of certificates of excellence and a financial grant; 150,000 EGP to first place winner, 100,000 EGP to second place winner, 75,000 EGP to third place winner, and 50,000 EGP to fourth place winner.
