About Alcatel Scholarship
Alcatel Scholarship was launched in 2005 to accommodate the evolving demand for specialized professionals in Mobile Radio Solutions. The program is geared toward new graduates from Engineering faculties to develop their skills and qualifications on the different Mobile Solutions and networks serving the emerging market needs.
The Program aims to enhance the caliber of Communications Engineering by providing knowledge of the Network Swiching Subsystem. The applicant will acquire a general knowledge on GSM standards as well as Integrated Business Skills Course.
Program Objectives
The Program aims to enhance the caliber of IT Professionals by providing knowledge of the Network Swiching Subsystem in order to locate and identify the equipment, the associated features and operation and maintenance functions also this program will acquire a general knowledge on GSM standards including GPRS as well as Alcatel solution. The program is complemented with specialized integrated business skills course.
PDF/Alcatel Program is designed to develop the skills necessary to succeed in the telecommunication industry. Our objective is to build a professional communication engineer able to apply the proper technical tools and who have the right balance of business, technical and interpersonal skills suited to todays complex business world.

Integrated Business Skills
1.General Description of the Workshop:
In this workshop participants can increase their interpersonal effectiveness byunderstanding the impact of your communication style. Through this workshop,participants will be able to assess their own communication styles, and affirm andunderstand not only their own personalities and preferences, but also the preferencesof others. They will apply what they have learnt when writing their resumes and howto tailor it to the company's need. Further they will learn the basics of writing thecover letter according to the vacancy. Finally they will learn how to prepare for aninterview, how to effectively communicate their point of view when answering thequestions.
2.Workshop Objectives
By the end of this 2-day workshop, the participants will be able to:

4.Training Methodology:
The workshop is conducted in a highly interactive format, incorporating participant-centered learning activities such as pair and group work, case studies, and role plays.
The handouts are designed both as a learning tool to develop participant skills and knowledge during the workshop, and as a resource guide that includes learning objectives, individual exercises, and action plans.
5.Target Audience:
This workshop is designed especially for fresh graduates in all areas who wish tolearn to communicate more effectively during an interview or while working on their résumés, as well as any one who wishes to apply for a new challenging position.
Selection Criteria
- Applicants must be Egyptian nationals.
- Applicants must have a working knowledge of the English language.
- Applicants should be graduated from Engineering Faculty (Communications section).
- Applicants should be graduated at least with grade "Good" .
- All male applicants must have an acceptable military status.
- All applicants will be required to pass an interview with an IT Specialized panel.
- Applicants must be fully committed to a minimum of 40 hours/week of classroom/lab training (from 9 - 5 pm) for 2 weeks.
- Any student who misses 10% of the required number of hours per course will be disqualified for graduation.
- Accepted applicants will be required to pay 950 EGP as an admin fees.
