NGOs Award of Excellence 7+2 Round Winners Revealed

The Professional Development Foundation announced the winners of the 7+2 round of the NGOs Award of Excellence, which aims to support and develop the civil society sector and provide means to enhance their professional and administrative capacities. The announcement came during a celebration held at the Ministry of Social Solidarity in Agouza, attended by Her Excellency Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity, along with representatives from the Ministry of Social Solidarity, government bodies, leading representatives of the private sector, Mr. Mohamed Farouk Hafeez, PDF Chairman, and PDF Board Members.

 

Al-Firdous Association for Sustainable Development from Assiut Governorate won first place, while the Integrated Healthcare Association for Cancer Patients in Dakhla, New Valley Governorate, won second place. Third place went to the Scientific Association for the Care of Cancer Patients from Fayoum Governorate. The Community Development Association in Al-Bashandi from New Valley Governorate won fourth place, and Misr Bokra Association for Development from Giza Governorate received the Social Media Awareness Award.

 

In addition, two new award categories were introduced this year: the Lifetime Achievement Award, which was won by the Future Generations Association in Al-Ma‘na from Qena Governorate, and the Rapid Impact Award, which was awarded to the Sanad Foundation for Inclusive Development from Alexandria Governorate.

 

The winners of the Civic Pioneers Award for this year were also announced and honored. The award went to Professor Sir Magdi Yacoub, “the King of Hearts,” and to Dr. Niazy Sallam, Chairman and Co-Founder of the Egyptian Food Bank.
